¶ Fault Symptom:
When clicking "Home" (Return to Zero) or performing bed leveling on the touchscreen, the following error message appears:
!! Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_y' register IFCNT

¶ Possible Causes:
- Incorrect modification of firmware settings
- Faulty Y-axis motor or Y-axis motor cable
- Mainboard failure
¶ Tools Required for Troubleshooting:
- USB drive formatted as FAT32, capacity less than 16GB
- TF card formatted as FAT32 with 4096 bytes allocation unit size, capacity less than 32GB
- 2.0mm hex screwdriver
¶ Troubleshooting Steps:
¶ 1. Update the Fix Pack, Motherboard Firmware, and Touchscreen Firmware
Note: If you have not modified any firmware settings, please skip Step 1 and proceed directly to Step 2.

¶ 2. Check the Y-axis Motor Connector
a. Turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord.

b. Check whether the Y-axis motor connector is loose. Re-plug the Y-axis motor connector firmly.

¶ 3. Swap X and Y Motors for Testing
a. Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the power cord.
b. Refer to the video below to disassemble the X and Y motors and temporarily swap their positions.
Reminder: The disassembly steps for the X motor on the Neptune 4 series are the same.

c. Power on the printer and click "Home" or perform leveling via the touchscreen. - If the error message still appears (remains on Y-axis), the mainboard and Y-axis motor cable need to be replaced.
- If the error message transfers to the X-axis (!! Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_x' register IFCNT), the Y-axis motor needs to be replaced.
