¶ Fault Phenomenon:
During printing or after the printer is powered on, the touchscreen or Fluidd displays the following error message:
TMC stepper_z reports error DRV_STATUS 40190010 s2vsa=1
¶ Fault Causes:
- Poor contact of the Z motor connector.
- Failure of one of the following components: the mainboard, one of the two Z motors, or the Z motor cable.
¶ Tools Required for Troubleshooting:
- 2.0 mm hex screwdriver
¶ Troubleshooting Steps:
- Re-plug the Z motor connector on the motor side
a. Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the power cord.

b. Check whether the connector on the Z motor side is loose, then unplug and re-plug the Z motor connector.

- Re-plug the Z motor connector on the mainboard side
a. Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the power cord.
b. Use the 2.0 mm hex screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom cover, then remove the bottom cover.

Note: There is a wire connecting the bottom cover to the mainboard. Disconnect the wire connector before removing the bottom cover.

c. Check whether the Z motor connector on the mainboard side is loose, then unplug and re-plug the mainboard-side Z motor connector.

- Unplug one Z motor connector and test
a. Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the power cord.
b. Unplug the connector of either the left or right Z motor.
c. Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer power switch.
d. Go to the touchscreen → Prepare → click Z+ to control the Z-axis movement.
Note: Before the printer completes homing, the X/Y/Z motors cannot move in the X-/Y-/Z- directions.
- If the error no longer appears when the Z-axis is running, the Z motor whose connector was unplugged is faulty and needs to be replaced.
- If the error still occurs when running the Z-axis after disconnecting either the left or right Z motor, the mainboard or the Z motor cable needs to be replaced.
