Power off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
Lift the top cover. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the four screws securing the front cover to the middle plate and the four screws securing the front cover to the bottom.
Open the front cover slightly. Peel off the black tape securing the touch screen connector, flip open the locking cover, and remove the touch screen ribbon cable. Note: Handle with care due to the internal ribbon cable connection.
Use diagonal pliers to cut off the hot melt adhesive on the four corners of the back of the touch screen. (If the adhesive is difficult to remove, heat it with a hairdryer to facilitate the process.)
Press around the edges of the touch screen from the back to remove it.
Take out the new touch screen and peel off the double-sided adhesive protective film on the backside. Align the touch screen with the groove and place it in the installation position. Press around the edges of the touch screen to ensure a secure adhesive bond.
Remove the protective film from the screen and place the front cover in the installation position at the front of the printer.
Reconnect the touch screen ribbon cable, firmly close the locking cover, and secure it with adhesive tape. Note: Ensure the correct installation direction of the touch screen ribbon cable.
Align the front cover with the screw holes and place it in the installation position. Lift the top cover.
Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the four screws that secure the front cover to the middle plate. Close the top cover, and use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the four screws that secure the front cover to the bottom.
Power on the printer, wait for the device self-test to finish, and the printer will be ready for normal use.
