Power off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
Use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to loosen the seven screws securing the back cover of the printer, and remove the back cover.
Remove the following connections from the motherboard: ①X-axis motor, ②Z-axis motor, ③Z-axis limit switch, ④X-axis limit switch, ⑤mechanical sensor, ⑥cooling fan, ⑦pwm control cable for constant current board, ⑧thermistor. Note: Make proper markings beforehand for easy installation.)
Disconnect the camera, WiFi and constant current board connectors from the motherboard.
Peel off the adhesive tape securing the touch screen connector, flip open the locking cover, and remove the touch screen ribbon cable. Repeat the same steps to remove the LCD ribbon cable.
Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the four screws securing the motherboard, and remove the old motherboard. (Note: Use an L-shaped wrench for the two screws on the left side.)
Peel off the light-blocking pads from both sides of the old motherboard.
Take out the new motherboard.
Apply a new layer of double-sided tape onto the removed light-blocking pads and trim off the excess tape with pliers. Use tweezers to remove the release liner from the tape, and stick the light-blocking pads back onto their installation positions on the new motherboard.
Align the motherboard with the screw holes and side button openings, and position it for installation. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the four screws that secure the motherboard.
Reconnect the following connections to the motherboard: ①X-axis motor, ②Z-axis motor, ③Z-axis limit switch, ④X-axis limit switch, ⑤mechanical sensor, ⑥cooling fan, ⑦pwm control cable for constant current board, ⑧thermistor.
Reconnect the camera, WiFi and constant current board connectors to the motherboard.
Reconnect the LCD ribbon cable and touch screen ribbon cable to the motherboard, firmly close the locking covers, and secure them with adhesive tapes.
Place the printer’s back cover back in position and use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to tighten the seven screws securing the back cover.
Power on the printer, wait for the device self-test to finish, and the printer will be ready for normal use.
