Operation steps
- Power off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to loosen the seven screws securing the back cover of the printer, and remove the back cover.
- Disconnect the camera connector from the motherboard.
- Lift the top cover and use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the six screws securing the lower part of the top cover. Close the top cover.
- Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the single screw securing the top cover at the back. Remove the top cover. Note: Carefully straighten and extract the camera cable from the right-side reserved hole.
- Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the two screws securing the lead screw nut, and push the connecting arm downwards. Hold the lead screw with one hand, and rotate the lead screw nut to remove it.
- Take out the new lead screw nut. Hold the lead screw with one hand and screw the new lead screw nut onto the top end of the lead screw, tightening it to a position about 1cm from the top of the lead screw.
- Align the connecting arm with the screw holes of the lead screw nut, and use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the two screws securing the lead screw nut by 3/4 turn.
- Align the top cover with the screw holes and place it back in its position. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the six screws that secure the top cover. Note: Carefully route the camera cable through the right-side reserved hole.
- Close the top cover and use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the screw that secures the top cover at the back.
- Reconnect the camera connector to the motherboard.
- Align the back cover with the screw holes and place it back in its position. Use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the seven screws that secure the back cover.
- Power on the printer and wait for the device self-test to finish.
- Lift the top cover and on the touch screen, go to “Tool - Manual - 50mm,” and click on the down button four times to lower the Z-axis to the bottom.
- After the Z-axis reaches the bottom, use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the two screws securing the lead screw nut.
- On the touch screen, click “Manual - Return to home” to make the printer return to the home position.
- After the homing is finished, ensure the Z-axis moves up and down properly. If the Z-axis movement is normal, the printer is ready for normal use.
