Poor printing quality in some areas of the first layer when the Giga is printing.
.jpg)
The X-axis and heated bed are not parallel.
The screws under the heated bed are not adjusted correctly.
The proximity switch is tilted or loose.
One of the PEI plates has a large deviation.
Lint-free cloth
Ruler
2.0 mm hex screwdriver
a. Turn off the printer power and unplug the power cord.
.jpg)
b. Check whether the frame and PEI plate are parallel.
.jpg)
c. If you cannot confirm whether the PEI plate and frame are parallel, use a ruler to measure whether the two Z-axis bearings on the Giga are at the same distance from the base.
.jpg)
.jpg)
d. If there is a height difference between the two Z-axes, manually pull the Z belts to adjust the Z height.
.jpg)
Pulling the inner-left belt in the direction of the yellow arrow raises the Z-axis; pulling the Z belt in the red direction lowers the Z-axis.
a. Turn off the printer power and unplug the power cord.
b. Unplug the nozzle adapter cable connector.
.jpg)
c. Remove the two screws at the marked locations.
.jpg)
d. When removing the two lower screws, support the extruder to prevent it from falling.
.jpg)
e. Remove the two screws at the marked locations.
.jpg)
f. Remove the extruder front cover.
.jpg)
g. Remove the three screws at the marked locations and take off the extruder back plate.
.jpg)
h. Remove the nozzle plate clamp.
.jpg)
r. Check whether the screws securing the proximity switch are loose.
.jpg)
j. Make sure the proximity switch is not tilted. The trigger surface of the proximity switch must remain parallel to the PEI plate.
.jpg)
k. Replug the proximity switch connector.
.jpg)
It is recommended to adjust each screw by approximately 1/4 turn at a time. Over-adjusting may cause the nozzle to scratch the PEI plate during printing.

As shown in the figure below, if there are gaps between the printed lines in a certain area of the heated bed, try rotating the screw under the corresponding position counterclockwise.
.jpg)
As shown in the figure below, if there is over-extrusion (lines pressed too tightly together) in a certain area of the heated bed, try rotating the screw under the corresponding position clockwise.
.jpg)
a. Use stickers or a marker to label the four PEI plates, then remove all four plates.
.jpg)
b. Wipe the magnetic bed surface with a lint-free cloth.
.jpg)
c. Place the leveling plate on heated bed position 1 and place PEI plate No. 2 on heated bed position 2.
.jpg)
d. On the touchscreen, go to Settings → Advanced Settings → click “Platform Measurement”.
.jpg)
e. Select point 5 to perform the measurement.
.jpg)
f. Record the measured value for PEI plate No. 2 and remove the plate.
.jpg)
g. Click point 14 to move the extruder to the left side.
h. Measure PEI plates No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 using the same method.
The normal deviation between PEI plates is typically within ±0.05 mm. If the deviation between any one PEI plate and the other three exceeds ±0.05 mm, replace the corresponding PEI plate.
a. Using the values detected in Step 4, record the four error values for heated beds 1/2/3/4.
b. Connect to Fluidd (the connection steps are the same as for the Neptune 4 series). Refer to the link below:
https://wiki.elegoo.com/neptune/neptune-4-series-web-page-control
c. In Fluidd, locate the printer.cfg file and left-click to open it.
.jpg)
d. Press Ctrl+F and search for the keyword “bed_mesh default” to find the currently generated bed mesh.
e. In the diagram, regions 1/2/3/4 correspond to heated bed areas 1/2/3/4, and the arrow indicates the direction of the corresponding bed. For example, if PEI plate 1 is measured 0.1 mm higher than PEI plate 2, subtract 0.1 from all values in the bed 1 section of printer.cfg.
.jpg)
.jpg)
If the detected platform error is too high, decrease the corresponding values in printer.cfg; if too low, increase the values.
f. After editing, click the Save button in the upper-right corner.
.jpg)
g. Click “Firmware Restart”. After the restart is complete, you may test a print.

The normal printing tolerance for the Giga is ±0.1 mm. Because the Giga has a large heated bed, it is difficult to achieve 100% perfection. The following settings can also improve first-layer print success rate:
