¶ Remove the old ribbon cables of the X-axis motor and limit switch
Power off the printer and unplug the power cord.
Unplug the X-axis limit switch and the cable of the motor port.
Loosen the 2 screws securing the two ends of the tank chain using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
Clip the cover plate of the raised tank chain using needle-nose pliers to and remove the row wire from the tank chain.
Note: The cover plate is snap-fastened and is marked with a specific label.
Remove the last link at the end of the tank chain to take out the print head connection cable completely.
Note: Remove the connecting wire and then install the last section of the end of the tank chain back in place.
Unplug the cable ports and cables on the adapter board of the printer.
Take out the ribbon cables of the print head from the Z-axis tank chain in the same way.
Loosen the 2 screws securing the side panel using a 2.5 mm Allen key.
¶ Install the new ribbon cables of the X-axis motor and limit switch
Prepare the new ribbon cables of the X-axis motor and limit switch. Organize the ribbon cables of the print head. Put them into the tank chain. Press the clip and secure the cables.
Plug the ribbon cables into the X-axis motor and limit switch.
Note: The 2 ports of the X-axis limit switch ribbon cables is different. The port has two seperated pins is connected to the limit switch.
Tighten the 2 screws securing the two ends of the tank chain using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
Insert the ribbon cables of the print head into the Z-axis tank chain in the same way.
Prepare the side panel, then put it in the installation position by aligning it with the screw holes. Tighten the 2 screws using a 2.5 mm Allen key.
Insert the ribbon cables into the chamber interface board according to the label information.
Note: The port of the 2 pins adjacent to each other is connected to the chamber interface board.
Plug in the power cord and power on the printer. Select "Prepare - All (Homing Button) on the touchscreen. The printer starts homing process. The printer is ready for use after working normally.
