¶ Remove the old connection cable
- Power off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Unplug the connection cable port of the print head.
- Loosen the three screws securing the left and right ends of the tank chain using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Prize the cover of the tank chain using a pair of pliers.
Note: The cover is snap-fastened and is marked with a specific snap.
- Take out the connection cables of the print head from the X-axis tank chain.
- Take out the connection cables of the print head from the Y-axis tank chain in the same way.
- Cut off the cable ties securing the connection cables using a pair of diagonal pliers.
- Unplug the ribbon cable ports on the adapter board of the printer chamber.
- Loosen the 2 screws securing the side panel using a 2.5 mm Allen key.
- Take out the connection cable of the print head from the Z-axis tank chain in the same way.
¶ Install the new connection cables
- Prepare the new connection cables of the print head. Put them into the tank chain.
Note: Both ends of the connection cables are same.
- Insert the print head's connection cable into the adapter board port.
- Tighten the three screws securing the left and right ends of the tank chain using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Insert the connection cables of the print head into the Y-axis tank chain in the same way.
- Insert the connection cables of the print head into the Z-axis tank chain in the same way.
- Prepare the side panel, then put it in the installation position by aligning it with the screw holes. Tighten the two screws securing the handle using a 2.5 mm Allen key.
- Insert the cables into the ports on the adapter board according to the label information.
- Secure the cables above the Z-axis using cable ties.
- Power on the printer.Select Prepare interface. Set the temperature of the nozzle to 220 ℃. The printer is ready for use after the nozzle heats up normally.
