Updating with an incorrect firmware version may brick the printer.
Ensure the touchscreen is powered on and the menu interface is accessible.
Confirm that the mainboard onboard memory is greater than 500 MB (check via the Fluidd interface).

USB drive format requirements: The USB drive used for firmware update must be formatted as FAT32 with a capacity of less than 16 GB.
TF card format requirements: The TF card used for firmware update must be formatted as FAT32 with an allocation unit size of 4096 bytes.

Ensure the printer touchscreen is powered on and the About Printer interface is accessible.
Open the firmware package and locate the “ELEGOO_UPDATE_DIR” folder.

Copy the “ELEGOO_UPDATE_DIR” folder from the firmware package to the root directory of the USB drive (the directory opened by double-clicking the USB drive icon).

Insert the USB drive into the printer USB port.

On the touchscreen, tap Settings > About Printer, then tap the arrow at the bottom and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the update.

Wait for the firmware update to complete. The touchscreen will restart automatically.

After the touchscreen returns to the menu interface, navigate to the About Printer page to verify that the mainboard firmware has been successfully updated.

Power off the printer using the power switch.
Open the firmware folder, navigate to the screen firmware section, locate the “UI_1.2.22.tft” file, and copy it.

Copy the “UI_1.2.22.tft” file to the root directory of the TF card (the directory opened by double-clicking the TF card icon).

Using a 2.0 mm hex screwdriver, loosen the four screws securing the back cover and remove the back cover.

Insert the TF card into the TF card slot on the touchscreen mainboard.
The gold finger side of the TF card must face upward; otherwise, the touchscreen cannot read the TF card.

Power on the printer. The touchscreen firmware will update automatically.

After the firmware update completes, power off the printer using the power switch. Push the TF card to the right to eject it, then remove the TF card.

Reinstall the touchscreen back cover in its original position and tighten the screws. Return the touchscreen to its original position.

(After updating the touchscreen firmware to version 1.2.21, the About Printer interface on the touchscreen may occasionally display the version number as 1.2.17. This does not affect OTA firmware updates or printer functionality. )
Calibration is required after either an OTA or manual firmware update.
