Precautions before operation and machine status
This operation involves the replacement of some print head components. Before performing these operations, please turn off the machine and wait for the print head to cool down completely.
Operation steps
1-Remove the print head
- Power off the printer, unplug the port cable of the fan assembly located directly behind the print head, use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to loosen the four fixing screws of the "rear fan assembly", and remove the rear fan assembly.
- Use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to loosen the two fixing screws of the "cable fastener" and the one fixing screw of the whole print head assembly.
- Press the "horn terminal" to both sides with your hands, the print head cable will pop up automatically, and then remove the print head cable.
4. Use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to loosen the two fixing screws of the "print head front cover" and remove the whole print head assembly.
2-Replace the model cooling fan
- Separate the front cover of the whole print head assembly and pull out the nozzle light cable from the print head adapter board.
- Use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to loosen a fixing screw of the "proximity switch", and use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen a fixing screw at the rear of the "air guide" (under the proximity switch).
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the five fixing screws at the bottom of the "air guide" and remove the "air guide" downwards.
Note: There is a buckle design under the left fan, which makes it easier to separate it at the corner position.
- Remove the nozzle light.
Replace the model cooling fan on the left side
- Unplug the cable of the left side model cooling fan from the print head adapter board.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the three fixing screws of the "model cooling fan" and take out the model cooling fan.
3. Align the new model cooling fan with the screw holes and place it in the mounting position.
4. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the three screws fixing the "model cooling fan".
5. Insert the cable of the left side model cooling fan into the "FAN2" port of the print head adapter board.
Replace the model cooling fan on the right side
- Unplug the cable of the right side model cooling fan from the print head adapter board.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the three fixing screws of the "model cooling fan" and take out the model cooling fan.
- Align the new model cooling fan with the screw holes and place it in the mounting position.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the three screws fixing the "model cooling fan".
- Insert the cable of the right side model cooling fan into the "FAN2" port of the print head adapter board.
3-Install the print head
- Pass the nozzle light cable through the mounting hole and press the cable.
- Align the air guide with the screw holes and place it in the mounting position.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the five fixing screws at the bottom of the "air guide".
NOTE: The two screws next to the nozzle light are slightly longer.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten a fixing screw at the rear of the "air guide" (under the proximity switch).
- Place the "proximity switch" in the mounting position and use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to tighten a fixing screw.
- Insert the nozzle light cable into the LED port of the print head adapter board.
- Install the front cover of the whole print head assembly (It has a groove design and can be installed by sliding it in).
- Place the whole print head assembly into the mounting position in front of the print head, and use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to tighten the two fixing screws of the "print head front cover".
- Press the "horn self-locking terminal" to both sides with your hands to open the port, and then insert the print head cable into the port (note that the cable passes under the top profile).
- Use a 2.0mm Allen wrench to tighten the two fixing screws of the "cable fastener" and the one fixing screw of the whole print head assembly.
- Take out the fan assembly, align it with the screw holes mounting position, use a 2.5mm Allen wrench to tighten the four fixing screws of the rear fan assembly (install with the air outlet facing downward), and insert it into the fan assembly cable port.
- Power on the printer and click [Settings-Fan Control] on the touch screen to control the model cooling fans on both sides of the print head and turn it on.
- Observe that the model cooling fans on both sides of the print head rotate normally, and the printer can be used normally after re-leveling it.
