Precautions before operation and machine status
This operation involves the replacement of some print head components. Before performing these operations, please power off the machine and wait for the print head to cool down completely.
Operation Steps
1-Remove the print head
1. Power off the printer, unplug the port cable of the fan assembly located directly behind the print head, use the 2.5mm hex wrench to loosen the three fixing screws of the "rear fan assembly", and remove the rear fan assembly.
2. Use the 2.0mm hex wrench to loosen the two fixing screws of the "cable fastener" and the two fixing screws of the whole print head assembly.
3. Press the "horn terminal" on both sides with your hands, the print head cable will pop out automatically, and then take out the print head cable.
4. Use the 2.0mm hex wrench to loosen the two fixing screws of the "print head front cover" and remove the whole print head assembly.
2-Replace the heater and thermistor
1. Separate the front cover of the print head assembly, and use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the four fixing screws of the "fan bracket" (two on each side).
2. Unplug the cable port of the "proximity switch" in the extrusion adapter board, and remove the "fan bracket" assembly downwards.
3. Remove the black "silicone sleeve" wrapped around the heated chamber, and unplug the cable port of the heater from the extrusion adapter board.
4. Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to loosen a fixing screw of the "heater" and remove the heater (only loosen the screw without removing it).
5. Insert the new heater into the mounting hole (both ends of the heater need to be flush with the heating block surface, and no excess), and use a 1.5mm hex wrench to tighten the screws fixing the heater.
6. Insert the cable port of the heater into the "HE0" port of the adapter board (the port has a fool-proof port design, pay attention to the distinction).
7. Unplug the cable port of the "thermistor" in the extrusion adapter board, use a 2.0mm hex wrench to loosen a fixing screw of the "thermistor", and remove the thermistor.
8. Take out the new "thermistor", insert it into the thermistor mounting hole, and use a 2.0mm hex wrench to tighten the screw fixing the "thermistor".
9. Insert the cable port of the thermistor into the "TH1" port of the extrusion adapter board (the port has a fool-proof port design, pay attention to the distinction), and install the black "silicone sleeve" wrapped around the heated chamber.
3-Install the print head
1. Align the "fan bracket" assembly with the screw holes on both sides to install, and then insert the connecting cable of the "proximity switch" into the PS port in the "extrusion adapter board".
2. Install the front cover of the print head assembly (it has a groove design and can be installed by sliding it in).
3. Place the whole print head assembly into the mounting position in front of the print head, and use a 2.0mm hex wrench to tighten the two fixing screws of the "print head front cover".
4. Press the "horn self-locking terminal" to both sides with your hands to open the port, and then insert the print head cable into the port (note that the cable passes under the top profile).
5. Use a 2.0mm hex wrench to tighten the two fixing screws of the "cable fastener" and the two fixing screws of the print head.
6. Take out the fan assembly, align it with the screw mounting holes, use a 2.5mm hex wrench to tighten the three fixing screws of the rear fan assembly (with the air outlet facing downward), and insert it into the fan assembly interface cable port.
7. Power on the printer, click [Prepare - Temperature] on the touch screen, and then click "PLA" on the temperature control interface. The printer will start to heat the nozzle and heated bed. After observing that the heating temperature is normal, it can be used normally after re-levelling.
