Generates new faces to fill gaps in a mesh. This is useful for repairing small areas of missing scan data or closing specific boundaries of a model, depending on the intended use.

Compare the scanned mesh with the physical object to determine whether the hole needs to be filled. Select the hole boundary and preview the result. After filling the hole, check for bulges, depressions, or incorrect connections.
Fills the hole with a flat surface without considering the curvature of the surrounding mesh. This method is suitable for flat bottom surfaces, flat enclosures, and similar areas. However, the filled area may appear noticeably flat.

Generates a new surface based on the tangent directions along the hole boundary, allowing the filled area to blend smoothly with the surrounding surface. This method is suitable for slightly curved surfaces and can help reduce visible seams around the filled area.

Estimates the shape of the missing surface based on curvature variations around the hole. This method is suitable for curved surfaces, sculptures, and other objects with continuous surface curvature. It helps preserve the original shape but cannot guarantee the reconstruction of actual surface details.

Fills holes within the mesh surface that are enclosed by a complete boundary. The software generates new mesh faces along the hole boundary to close the missing area. This method is suitable for local holes caused by occlusion, reflections, or missing scan data during scanning.
Recommendation: This method is suitable for small holes with complete boundaries. After filling, check for depressions, bulges, or abnormal mesh faces.

Creates connecting mesh faces between two boundary sections of a hole. This can divide a large hole into smaller regions or repair elongated missing areas. It is suitable for long, narrow gaps and localized breaks in the mesh.
Recommendation: Select corresponding boundaries that align in shape and position to avoid mesh intersections, distortion, or incorrect connections.

Do not arbitrarily fill existing through-holes, openings, or gaps that are part of the original object. The filled geometry is an estimate of the missing surface. For large missing areas or areas critical to assembly, rescan the object whenever possible.
