The steps below are based on Centauri Carbon 2 Combo. For other models, skip the steps related to parts that are not installed.

If your printer has optional accessories installed, such as CANVAS or an enclosure, follow the steps related to those parts.
- 1.5 mm hex key
- 2.0 mm hex key

- White lithium grease
- A short length of filament for testing
- Cut-resistant gloves
- New compound reduction gear and SKD11 extruder drive gear assembly

- Remove the top cover.

- Open the front door.

- On the touchscreen, select Control > Home and wait for the X, Y, and Z axes to complete the homing process.

- Set the movement increment to 30 mm, and then tap the Down arrow to lower the heated bed to its lowest position.

- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Use a 1.5 mm hex key to remove the two screws securing the extruder communication cable.

- Use a 2.5 mm hex key to remove the screw securing the cable chain.

- Disconnect the extruder communication cable.

- Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the two screws securing the 4-in-1-hub assembly.

Open the toolhead front cover.

Disconnect the part-cooling fan cable and remove the toolhead front cover.

Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the four screws securing the toolhead housing.

- Disconnect the two cables from the filament detection board.

Use a 2.5 mm hex key to remove the screw securing the hotend.

Pull down the hot end but do not unplug the plug.

Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the two screws securing the 4-in-1-hub bracket.

Remove the bracket.

Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the two screws securing the gearbox assembly.

Remove the gearbox assembly.

- Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the screw securing the spring, and then remove the spring.

- Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the screw securing the cutter assembly.
Caution: The cutter blade is sharp. Keep your fingers away from the blade and wear cut-resistant gloves when necessary.

- Remove the cutter assembly.

- Use a 2.0 mm hex key to remove the three screws securing the gearbox housing.

- Open the gearbox housing.

- Remove the compound reduction gear.

Note: If the compound reduction gear is difficult to remove, reduce the spring tension first. Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to loosen the spring tension.

- Use a 2.0 mm hex key to loosen the spring adjustment screw.

- Remove the spring in the direction indicated by the arrow.

- Remove the SKD11 extruder drive gear assembly.

- Prepare the new compound reduction gear and SKD11 extruder drive gear assembly.

- Install the SKD11 extruder drive gear assembly in the correct position.

- Align the spring with the locating post, and then push it into the slot.

- Apply a small amount of white lithium grease to the marked area of the gear.
Note: Do not apply grease to any other areas of the gears.

- Align the compound reduction gear with the bearing hole, and then install it in the gearbox.

- Insert a short length of filament into the filament inlet of the gearbox. Manually rotate the gear and check whether the filament can be loaded and unloaded smoothly.

- If the filament cannot be loaded properly, use a 2.0 mm hex key to turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise to increase the spring tension.

- After confirming that the gearbox operates correctly, reinstall and tighten the three screws securing the gearbox housing.

- Place the cutter assembly in its original position and tighten the corresponding screw to secure it.

- Place the spring in its original position and tighten the corresponding screw to secure it.

- Reconnect the two cables to their corresponding connectors on the filament detection board.

Place the toolhead housing in its original position.

- Reconnect the part-cooling fan cable.

- Close the toolhead front cover.

Place the 4-in-1-hub assembly in its original position.

Reinstall and tighten the corresponding screws to secure the assembly.

Reconnect the extruder communication cable.

Reinstall and tighten the corresponding screws to secure the cable.

- Place the cable chain in its original position and tighten the corresponding screw to secure it.

Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

Place the filament spool on the spool holder, and then insert the filament into the corresponding PTFE tube on the CANVAS system.

- On the touchscreen, select Filament > Corresponding Channel Number > Load.

- Wait for the printer to complete the filament-loading process. Check whether the filament is successfully extruded from the nozzle.

- After confirming that the filament is extruded normally, tap Confirm.

On the touchscreen, select Settings > Calibration > One-Click Self-Check> Start.

After the self-test is completed successfully, the printer is ready for use.
