¶ Required Tools
- New Tool Head Heater Interface Board
- 2.0 mm Allen key
- 1.5 mm Allen key
¶ Removal Steps
¶ Remove the Tool Head Communication Cable
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Use a 1.5 mm Allen key to remove the 2 screws securing the tool head communication cable connector.
- Disconnect the tool head communication cable.
¶ Remove the Tool Head Back Cover
- Use a 2.0 mm Allen key to remove the 3 screws securing the tool head back cover.
Note: Keep the removed screws safe, as they will be reused during installation.
- Remove the tool head back cover.
¶ Remove the Tool Head Heater Interface Board
- Use a 2.0 mm Allen key to remove the screw located at the bottom of the tool head heater interface board.
- Gently press down on the tool head heater interface board to separate it from the connector on the tool head communication board.
- Disconnect the ribbon cable connector connected to the tool head heater interface board, then remove the old tool head heater interface board.
¶ Installation Steps
¶ Install the Tool Head Heater Interface Board
- Take out the new tool head heater interface board. Insert the corresponding ribbon cable connectors into the new tool head heater interface board according to the connector positions.
- Align the connectors and connect the tool head heater interface board to the connector on the tool head communication board.
- Use a 2.0 mm Allen key to tighten the screw securing the tool head heater interface board.
¶ Install the Tool Head Back Cover
- Take out the tool head back cover and align it with the screw holes before placing it into the installation position.
- Use a 2.0 mm Allen key to tighten the 3 screws securing the tool head back cover.
¶ Install the Tool Head Communication Cable
- Fully insert the tool head communication cable into the connector and ensure the connection is secure.
- Use a 1.5 mm Allen key to tighten the 2 screws securing the tool head communication cable connector.
¶ Verification
- Connect the power cord and turn on the printer.
- On the touch screen, go to Calibration ＞ One-click self-check ＞ Select All ＞ Start.
- If the machine completes the self-check without any related error messages, the tool head heater interface board replacement is complete.
