¶ Remove the old type of the top frame
Note: Keep the screws securing the old type of the top frame for subsequent use.
- Power off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Peel the 3 pieces of shock-absorbing foam adhered to the top frame of the enclosure. Loosen the 8 screws securing the top frame using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Loosen the 4 screws securing the left side of the top frame using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Loosen the 2 screws securing the cable chain terminal using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Loosen the 2 screws securing the inner back side of the top frame using a 2.0 mm Allen key. Lift the upper part of the old type of the top frame.
- Loosen the 6 screws securing the lower part of the top frame using a 2.0 mm Allen key. Remove the lower part of the top frame.
- Press downward the tablet of the connector using a pair of tweezers, then unplug the input tube.
- Cut the cable ties securing the PTFE tube using diagonal pliers. Remove the PTFE tube from the cable chain. Pull out the PTFE tube from the back of the printer.
¶ Install the New Type of Top Frame
- Prepare the new type of top frame and hold it upright on the back side of the printer.
- Loosen the 2 screws securing the bottom of the top frame back side using a 2.0 mm Allen key. Put the connection cable of the print head in the groove.
- Tighten the 2 screws using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Prepare the adapter cable of the strip light. Insert the end with a fuse into the adapter cable.
- Organize the connection cable of the print head and put it in the groove. Put the top frame in the installation position by aligning it with groove.
- Tighten the 6 screws securing the left side and back side using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Adhere new impact-absorbent foam into the inner of the left side.
- Tighten the 7 screws securing the top frame using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
Note: Secured in front are two short screws.
- Paste the four pieces of shock-absorbing foam to the top frame.
Note: If the adhesion is poor, reapply the double-sided tape to the shock-absorbing foam.
- Pass the PTFE tube through the filament hole at the back of the printer. Clamp the front of the PTFE tube. Press the PTFE tube from the end of the cable chain to install it.
- Install the PTEE tube to the one-third from the end of the cable chain.
- Tighten the 2 screws securing the the end of the cable chainl using a 2.0 mm Allen key. Insert the PTFE tube into the connector above the print head.
- Cut off the two cable ties securing the ribbon cables inside the printer using a pair of diagonal pliers.
- Pass the other end of the adapter cable into the bottom of the printer. Organize the adapter cable of the strip light and roll it into the braided cable sleeve. Use 2 cable ties to secure the braided cable sleeve.
Note: Make sure to leave some slack to prevent the adapter cable from being secured too tightly.
- Loosen the 10 screws securing the bottom cover using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
- Insert the port of the adapter cable of the strip light into the "LIGHT" port on the motherboard.
- Cut off the 2 pieces of cable tie securing the ribbon cable holder. Roll the strip light adapter cable in the braided cable sleeve. Organize the ribbon cable and secure it on the cable holder using 2 pieces of cable tie.
- Put the bottom cover in the installation position by aligning it with the foot pad holes and screw holes. Tighten the 10 screws securing the bottom cover using a 2.0 mm Allen key.
¶ Check the firmware version
Navigate to "Settings - Check to Update" on the touchscreen.
For the version of 1.1.18 and above, the lighting function can be used directly.
If the version is below 1.1.18, it must be updated before accessing the lighting function.

¶ Update the Motherboard Firmware
- Save the firmware file to the root directory of the USB flash disk. Power on the printer. Insert the U disk.
- Navigate to "New Firmware Version - Update". Wait for the firmware update to finish.
- Power on the printer. The printer is ready for use after the light turns on normally
