¶ Remove the model cooling fan
- Power off the printer and unplug the power cord.
- Lift the front cover of the print head to remove it. Unplug the port of the ribbon cables of the model cooling fan.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the 2 screws securing the model cooling fan.
- Push the model cooling fan out from the front of the front cover, then remove the old model cooling fan.
¶ Clean the model cooling fan
- Clamp the foreign matters among the fan blades using a pair of tweezers. Clean the dust on the surface of the blades using a bush.
- Clean the dust on the surface by rotating the blades with a brush reaching from the gaps between the blades.
¶ Install the model cooling fan
- Prepare the model cooling fan and put it in the installation position by aligning it with the screw holes. Tighten the 2 screws securing the cooling fan using a Phillips screwdriver.
Note: The model cooling fan has a fixed installation position. The position can be distinguished by label infromation and ribbon cable direction.
- Prepare the front cover of the print head. Insert the port of the ribbon cables of the model cooling fan. Put the front cover in the installation position by aligning it with the positioning hole.
Note: Organize the ribbon cables of the model cooling fan.
- Power on the printer. Touch "Function - Fans - Model Cooling Fan" on the touchscreen. The printer can be used as usual after the model cooling fan rotates normally.
